The book does not describe the usual places of interest, which have already been discussed in all travel guides. Instead, "111 must-see places in Helsinki" presents squares, places and spots, which are not yet in any travel guide: unusual, surprising and mysterious places. Favourite places of the locals, cosy cafés and the best places for picnics or sunsets.
Inspiration is provided by impressions of the award-winning Finnish photographer Juha Metso. He has travelled to more than 60 countries in 30 years and has published his photo reports in newspapers and magazines. He has received several awards, including Press Photographer of the Year in Finland.
